FAQ’S
How long does it take to install ?
The installation of your garden room is based on us building from scratch on an average of between 2 – 6 weeks, depending on the size of your garden room. This quick installation time is a result of careful planning to ensure that the service we provide is as efficient and minimally invasive of your day-to- day routine as much as possible. We don’t need access to your property unless we need to chat.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us. We have a friendly and professional team and we are happy to chat about any aspect of your garden room quote.
Do I need planning permission ?
In general no planning in required as our rooms comply with permitted development laws, however there are some cases where it is needed, but don’t worry our team will take care of any necessary requirements.
Will the cladding need to be treated and maintained ?
Our Thermory cladding goes through an intense ’ thermo-treatment’, which heats and steams materials up to a maximum temperature of 215°C, ensuring maximum stability and a dark and rich colouring throughout the timber. This Eco-friendly and chemical-free process also ensures a low moisture content, removes remaining resin, reduces splitting, reinforces the timber and improves durability against decay. The end result is the transformation of responsibly harvested and rapid growing spruce, a softwood, into the perfect cladding material with class 1 durability credentials making it equal to the hardwoods.
There is NO treatment required for this cladding
Is a mains electricity supply to the room part of the cost ?
We do NOT offer connection from your property to the room as standard, as there can be many variables to consider in your garden. We do have a certified electrician that carries out all our internal and external electrics. We can offer the service of connection once the area has been seen and calculated. Prices start from £350
How far will we travel ?
We are based in Brighton and will travel within a 50 mile radius.
